Waterproofing ensures the long term sustainability of roads, rails and bridges. Although not a visible part of the construction, the waterproofing membranes and the engineering integrated closely with other elements of the construction is the key to superior strength of the solution and hereby the security of the user. Part of the Icopal service is ensuring this integration by coordinating the delivery of the system matching with the various steps of the construction.

Major projects have been completed by Icopal in the domain of Civil Engineering. In 2004, the construction of the world-famous bridges included the competencies of Icopal engineering and the strength of Icopal's waterproofing membranes.
